Select a face as the fixed face for the sheet metal part.
Change sheet metal thickness solidworks.
The issue i have is that when i go to change the sheet metal thickness value in the cut list properties solidworks will not let me edit the property.
Start date sep 29 2006.
Under sheet metal parameters.
Select keep body if you want to keep the solid body to use in another convert to sheet metal feature.
Notice the mirrored part thickness and global thickness variable does not.
When cleared the body is consumed by the convert to sheet metal feature.
Therefore the new body will have the mirrored sheet metal part thickness at 2 mm fig.
At this point you add another body to the mirrored part.
Unfolded sheet metal before correction.
Now you can change the thickness at the sheet metal parameters box.
Notice the override default parameter is unchecked.
I started out with a box with 06 thickness but as the design has evolved the box is much bigger now and i want to change its thickness to 09 but the thickness value is disabled grayed out in the sheet metal feature now.
There are many other tools that can be used with this software.
Folded sheet metal with bottom added after correction.
I m having trouble changing the thickness of a sheet metal part created through swept flange command.
But it doesn t appear possible to change the sheet metal thickness of a part started with base flange after the fact.
Set the sheet thickness and default bend radius.
Is there a way around this cause i would really like to not have to change out every table cause i have to make a new custom cultist property to evaluate sheet mental thickness.
But for some reason after i make an extruded cut i can t change the thickness anymore.
Miter flange lofted bend corner controls sheet metal gusset and rip are all very common tools that can make life easier for the designer.
As you can see in the video when i change the thickness before making an extruded cut everything goes as expected the thickness changes normally.
Now you change the parent seed sheet metal part thickness.
